Exhibition of Carrie Chau's Indigo Child in Times Square, Hong Kong
 
It′s nice to be back to blogging again. We have been away from home for a vacation for a week in Hong Kong to take a much deserved break from work but we made sure to bring home something worthy to blog about our wonderful discoveries.

First stop, Times Square in Causeway Bay. We′re thrilled to see the exhibition of Carrie Chau′s artworks and sculptures of alien children called "Indigo Child" inside the Time Square mall.

"Designing a space that will showcase the home owner’s lifestyle is a cliché and an oft-repeated challenge posed to all interior design specialists.  But how does one design a living space for an individual with more than one passion?  How does one showcase a client’s varied interest in one synergistic whole? Our client was a top HR executive whose job took him to various world capitals as consultant and speaker. He is also a world-class artist as a member of the famed Madrigal Singers.  His corporate and artistic stints enabled him to amass a significant collection of model airplanes - a childhood hobby, and ethnic musical instruments. His travels also allowed him to indulge in hard-to-find books, enough to fill up a mini-library back home.

Inspiration: Newspaper Furniture

I was browsing the Inhabitat site this morning and i came across this awesome furniture. These one of a kind David Stovell’s Sunday Paper inspired products consist of tightly rolled newspapers strapped together into stools. It not only help the environment by recycling but also extending the life of these newspapers by creating these awesome peice of furniture.
